Aircraft Inspections

Aircraft Maintenance Organization in Pitt Meadows (CYPK). Inspections on all private certified aircraft with MCTOW below 12500 pounds.
Our aircraft maintenance engineers are qualified and highly experienced on:
Cessna 150, 152, 172, 177, 180, 182, 185, 206, P210, Piper PA-28, Cessna 208 Caravan, and Dehavilland piston or turbo Beaver, and Turbine Otter.
We offer all non-specialized services you would expect from an AMO and continually strive to upgrade our capabilities.

For commercial operators and flight schools we can work with you for maintenance tracking, maintenance schedules, on-condition and progressive inspection programs.

Maple West Aero owns a self-driving beaching gear that is capable of lifting up to DHC 3 Turbine Otter sized floatplanes, and our close proximity to the float plane ramp maximizes convenience.

Aside from some specific exceptions, as per the Canadian Aviation Regulations private and commercial aircraft have the same maintenance standards.
We take pride in upholding this principle for general aviation safety.

Aircraft maintenance is available for planes in Langley, Abbotsford, Boundary Bay, Squamish, Chilliwack and beyond!

You are in the driver’s seat and we provide you all the information you need to make good maintenance choices.

Important Notes for all Aircraft Owners

  • Training is available for owners wishing to learn how to properly accomplish the Elementary Maintenance Tasks listed in CAR 625 Appendix A.

  • Our annuals on private aircraft include a full inspection as per CAR 625 Appendix B and Appendix C. We always use the manufacturer’s check sheets and manuals together with the appendices.

  • Annuals do not include oil and filters, gaskets, and any other parts required to accomplish the work.

  • Bi-annual altimetry and transponder checks, as well as ELT Recertification are sub-contracted out to several local avionics shops.

  • Pursuant to CAR 625 Appendix H owners are responsible to ensure their aircraft meets the requirements of any Airworthiness Directives applicable to their aircraft. CAR 625 Appendix B Information Note (i) states: “…any references in those checklists concerning compliance with Airworthiness Directives must be stricken out as not applicable, as it is the owner's responsibility to advise the AME of any outstanding Airworthiness Directives or airworthiness limitations.” Only ADs requested by the owner will be accomplished during the annual inspection. AD searches and checking to make sure all ADs are up to date can be delegated to us and we can conduct this at shop rate additional to the standard annual.

  • Aircraft owners are responsible to maintain technical records as per CAR 605.92. Maintenance of technical records by Maple West Aero is available and billed at shop rate. MWA will not store your technical records. All maintenance releases come with the appropriate stickers for your technical records to make your record keeping a breeze.

  • All travel time to off airport locations is billed at the regular shop rate based on Google Maps estimated travel time and kilometers.

Shop rate $138/ hour. Common shop supplies are included in the rate, applicable taxes and fees extra.
